Utah’s Premier Bull Riding Event: The Bull Riders Challenge
The Bull Riders Challenge was founded and established in 2001 by Eldon D. Monsen. The event was originally held outdoors during the month of June. At that time, the Bull Riders Challenge or “BRC” was sanctioned by the PBR. In 2007, the event was moved indoors. It wasn’t until 2015 that the BRC changed to the month of January where it has remained for over 10 years.
The Bull Riders Challenge has been featured on several television networks including the Outdoor Channel, Altitude Sports and Bull Riding TV. Known as Utah’s Premier Bull Riding Event, the BRC has been standing tall as an independent event for over 23 years.
The Bull Riders Challenge has always given back to local and national charities such as the Relay for Life (American Cancer Society), American War Heroes and InsideOUT Salon. Most recently supporting The Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled Outdoorsman Utah and Basin Junior Rodeo.
On January 19th and 20th, 2024 the top 50 BRC competitors will travel to Vernal and descend on the Western Park Indoor Arena to compete for more than $30,000 in cash and prizes. We love this sport and love the unpredictable danger each ride brings every time the chute gate opens. If you haven’t seen this iconic event yet, we urge you to bring your family and friends for a show of a lifetime. And for those of you who have been faithful fans for years, we appreciate you and look forward to seeing you this January!
